Capabilities

We are capable of producing a broad range of materials down to foil gauges while holding the tightest tolerances available in the metals industry.

We also offer toll processing of Rolling, Annealing, Leveling, Slitting, and Traverse Winding.

Rolling

Eagle Metals is the premier speciality reroll mill capable of processing a broad range of materials down to foil gauges while holding the tightest tolerances available in the metals industry. We roll strip from our extensive inventory or toll process customer material to order.

Capabilities

  • Gauge Range: .0005- .125"
  • Width Range: 2.00- 14"
  • Order Size: 100lb. minimum
  • Coil Size: 10,000lb. max 740 PIW

Processing

  • All Tempers
  • Specialized properties within restricted parameters

Materials Processed

  • Stainless Steel
  • Copper Based Alloys
  • Nickel Alloys
  • Titanium
  • Niobium
  • Tantalum
  • Platinum
  • Aluminum

Annealing

Eagle Metals has a full range of annealing facilities. Spanning a temperature range of 1200 degrees F to 2200 degrees F with hydrogen, nitrogen, hydrogen/nitrogen blend and argon atmospheres.

Capabilities

  • Gauge as thin as 0.001"
  • Width as wide as 14"

Materials Processed

  • Austenitic, martensitic, ferritic and heat treatable Stainless Steels
  • Soft Magnetic Alloys
  • Controlled Expansion Alloys
  • High Purity Nickel
  • Titanium
  • Low Carbon Steel

Tension Leveling

Our tension leveling lines produce the flattest material in the industry.

Capabilities

  • Every coil of material that we process, .032 and below is tension leveled at full width to insure that our material is panel flat to meet our customers' demanding applications.
  • We also have narrow width tension levelers that level finish width or die wide material.

Reasons to tension level finish width material

  • Stamping dies with single side carrier strip suseptable to die exit twist. Leveling at finish width equalizes residual stress on slit edges.
  • Camber specifications requiring virtually camber free material.
  • Further improve shape of finish material for critical applications./li>

Slitting

We have a wide variety of slitters and sizes available to handle the most demanding jobs from either of our two locations.

  • Width Range: 0.192- 18.00"
  • Stainless Tempers: Annealed to Full Hard
  • Copper Alloy Tempers: Annealed to Super Spring

Materials Processed

  • Copper Alloys
  • Stainless Steel
  • Nickel Alloys
  • Titanium
  • Low Carbon Steel

Traverse Winding

We have a wide variety of slitters and sizes available to handle the most demanding jobs from either of our two locations.

Capabilities

  • Gauge Range: 0.008- 0.035"
  • Width Range: 0.20- 2.00"

Available Reel Sizes

  • 250 lbs.
  • 500 lbs.
  • 1000 lbs.
  • 2000 lbs.

Cut to Length

We are capable of cutting sheets to length for a wide range of uses. Packaging is typically a wooden box but can be made to customers request.

Capabilities

  • Gauge Range: 0.002- 0.055"
  • Width Range: 1.0- 24.00"
  • Length Range: 2.0"- 8.0'

Corrugating

Capabilities

  • The corrugating only runs longitudinally along the length of the strip.
  • We do not currently cross- corrugate.
  • This is on a item by item basis and depends on several factors including gauge, width, temper, alloy, and corrugation height.

Edge Conditioning

We offer edge conditioning by skiving, which produces the desired edge contour by successive removal of material using carbide dies. This results in a smooth, stress free "machined edge". The edge process also has significant positive impact on resultant strip, shape, camber, twist, and coil set.

Capabilities

  • Gauge Range: 0.005- 0.050"
  • Width Range: .375- 6.00"
  • Some temper restrictions apply.

Edges

  • The No. 1 Full Round edge is a full radius edge. The radius of the edge approximates the strip thickness.
  • The No. 3 Slit edge is a slit edge available on anything we can slit.
  • The No. 5 Deburred edge removes any slitting burr. This process, also referred to as Edge Chamfering, is a beveled edge.
